Meet our amazing Co-Founder and Chief Data Science Officer Layla Hossein-Gerami

Layla is responsible for overseeing Ignota Labs’ suite of toxicity prediction models, TOXSCAPE.

Layla co-founded the company following the completion of a PhD in Molecular Informatics at the University of Cambridge where she used machine learning and network biology to explore drug mechanisms of action. 

Layla‘s training, background and knowledge is perfect to take our Machine Learning outputs to the next level. Her chemistry knowledge, machine learning interpretation and mechanistic biology understanding mean that we can contextualise ML outputs for better decision-making in early drug discovery.

Outside of her role, Layla enjoys cooking, watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, and hanging out with her cats.
